The Grind was created out of a desire to bring a new and exciting neighborhood dining and bar concept to Arcadia. The owners were always looking for a comfortable and hip place to meet friends for drinks and food. When they came across the location at 40th and Camelback, they knew it was the perfect spot and with the right team in place they could play a vital role in redeveloping that corner of the Camelback Corridor. The recession wasn’t going to stop them from achieving their goal of creating an everyday place with outstanding food and drinks.
The Grind has quickly become a neighborhood staple, as well as a “don’t miss” restaurant for tourists. The coal-fired menu features a unique combination of American dishes, both classic and cutting edge, a broad and thoughtful selection of wines, crafted beers and root beer on tab and traditional cocktails. The Grind uses organic meats and vegetables whenever possible, and with the only 1000 degree coal-burning oven of its kind in the United States, the menu will knock your socks off.
In September 2012, the second location opened in North Scottsdale. Located in the Hayden Peak Crossing shopping center near Grayhawk, the newest location boasts the same great menu, seven HDTV”s across the bar and an amazing patio!
We hope you will enjoy both locations as much as we do. They have become a place for us to escape the “daily grind” by pulling up a bar stool and watching a game, grabbing a bite to eat late night, or enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine with friends. And don’t forget it’s also a great place for take-out!
